Shipper & Receiver

Essential Duties:

•  2-3 years of shipping/receiving experience, steel knowledge and experience an asset;
•  Forklift and Overhead Crane Experience required;
•  Offload and receive steel orders;
•  Receive smaller shipments such as shop consumables and hardware;
•  Coordinate with parts department and shop foreman for required steel needed in the shop as well as incoming and outgoing schedule;
•  Maintain/organize steel and completed assemblies in the yard;
•  Assist in preparation of completed assemblies for shipment;
•  Operation of truck and gooseneck trailer for small, local deliveries and pick ups;
•  Adherence to pre-established standards of performance, shop safety policies and procedures;
• Maintain an efficient work environment within the department and on each task;
•  Consistently punctual and available for 40 hrs/week and overtime as required;
•  Perform other material handling duties as assigned.
